Dishcloths & Such

I'm getting a lot of knitting done lately... well I'm getting a lot of tiny projects done lately, but hey a finished object is a finished object, no mater what size right?
One of the ladies in the knitting group started her first dishcloth and chose of course, one of the most popular patterns, ye old ballband. This reminded me that I had yet to make one, so I did. Like everyone else, I liked it a lot and will definitely be doing it again.

As satisfying as that was, it was nowhere close to the ease and quickness of grandma's favorite dishcloth though...

...another new favorite of mine! It was SO easy and looks great with the Sugar and Cream striped yarn. The only thing is, at it's widest it's only 44 stitches, which makes it more like a washcloth than a dishcloth, next time I'll add a few more rows. It'd be a great start for a baby blanket too, or any giant square thing come to think of it!

And last but certainly not least, is my new favorite quickie sock pattern. These are knit with one (1!) ball of Cascade Fixation and knit up in just a couple nights. I will make them again for me and as last minute gifts for sure - plus I got to knit them on size 5's - couldn't be quicker if I tried!

(boy do I hate those ladders, but with Cascade it's hard to pull it tight enough. But I know, with washing they will tighten up, right?)
